“Bismillah! (In the name of God!”
Do you sometimes think about why we are here? I used to think about that so much that it had caused me to be sick and lost faith. Until one day, the following thought came to me.
Each person is Important and Unique. God gave each of us a goal, mission, and a purpose in life.
What is your Purpose?
Your main purpose in life is to know and worship God.
“1. Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
2. Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it.
3. And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e., showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture);
4. And Who brings out the pasturage,
5. And then makes it dark stubble.” (Surah 87 vs. 1-5)
How do you do that?
You do that through reading revelation books such as the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Quran. Think about what you read and apply the lessons in your life. Also, study the life of the prophets.
Since the purpose of this blog is to live a God conscious life, I will be using the Quran which is the guidebook for all mankind for most of my posts.
“2. This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous.
3. Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give from what We have provided for them (Charity).
4. And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter.
5. These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.” (Surah 2 vs. 2-5)
Also, in that book I found the answers to many of my questions. I believe with all certainty if you open your heart and mind to the message in this Holy Book you will find peace, satisfaction, contentment, and a great connection with God.
What is your goal?
Your main goal in life is to live to the best of your ability an honest life in accordance with God’s revelation and teaching. So, you can be prepared for the ultimate moment which is to meet your Lord on the resurrection/judgement Day and be judged/answer for your life.
“5. Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again?
36. Does man think that he will be left without purpose?”(Surah 75 vs. 3, 36)
What is your mission in life?
Your mission is the work/ activities that you do every day. It comes from your interest and the things that you love in life. The problem is your mission consist of many branches. How you deal with people, your words, actions, your sincerity, anger, and Your intentions, etcetera.
Conclusion
Guidance comes from God it’s important to ask Him as you work towards this goal.
“God, you are my Lord and Savior. You Sustain me and Fulfill all my needs. Please help me, bless me, protect me, have mercy on me, and guide me to the path that leads to you always.”
